the demo begins!!

It's been a long and busy week, with hava in the deli space early in the morning until the late night hours ripping out walls, smashing concrete and carefully sorting out re-useable materials for the new face of the deli!

here's some pictures to prove it, and give you and update of what the space is turning out to be.  don't forget to visit us at www.indiegogo.com/kitzels to help us push through!

Support Your Local Economy

Our small business will provide jobs in downtown Oly, we will support our local farms and vendors and we will do our best to keep the money flow locally.

Window Art

Oly artist Chelsea Baker paints our windows for Artswalk. The art shows what the deli will look like once open, with actual recognizable Oly characters.

Tearing down walls and Fall Arts Walk

It's been a busy couple of weeks for us on the Kitzel's team!!

We're clearing out furniture and appliances that we don't need, stacking up what we'll be using, meeting with architects and design teams, and tearing down some walls!  We had fun with a sledge hammer this week, curtosy of Amy & Andy, and got some hard work done!  Here's some late in the evening pictures of the ramp railing coming out, and some of the walls coming out.

Don't forget to walk by our storefront at 514 S. Capital Way during ARTS WALK - we've got a surprise for you!

Selling Kitchen Equipment

We are clearing out the deli space and have stuff to sell. Check out our Facebook page with a series of Craigslist posts. One of the items is this awesome, custom built, Woodstone locally manufactured oven! Here is the Craigslist ad for the oven.

Time to Can It

Time to put all that summer sunshine in jars and save it for the rainy winter months. Kitzel's is heading for the farmers market, our gardens, the forest and revisiting grandma's recipes.

Rains bring wild mushroom bounty

We fill our jars with delicious pickles and preserves of beets, peppers, wild mushrooms, raspberries, green beans, pears, plums, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, eggs.
