Success!

We raised well over $12,000 through our indiegogo campaign. Thanks to all of the generous supporters of Kitzel's! We are working hard to open the doors. The floors are done and the equipment is in.
Heather and Rebeca and the new kitchen floor for easy cleaning!
We are fine-tuning the menu, training staff and waiting for that health inspection to be completed - polishing the chrome and making sure that everything is shipshape and up to high standards.
testing the recipe - brisket brining in juniper berries
If you missed a chance to buy a Nosher's club membership, we still have more. You can use the PayPal links on the top right side of this page to buy one or just donate if you are so inclined. We appreciate your support in helping us bring this deli to life, while keeping all of the money flow local - hiring locally, not going to the banks and creating 15 new jobs!

Kitzel's is officially a business!

Hello Friends and Family,

As of Monday, August 29, 2011 Kitzel's Crazy Delicious Delicatessen LLP became an official business in the books of Washington State!   On Thursday September 1, 2011 we will be placing a rental hold on the space for the deli in the Harris Dry Goods Building located at 514 S. Capital Way!  (Previously Cielo Blu, between Batdorf & Bronson and Aqua Via)

To honor these achievements (on our LONG list of to do’s) we would like to formally invite you to a community celebration Shabbat dinner at the deli, potluck style (dairy and/or vegetarian), since we can't cook in there just yet.

Doors will open at 6pm, with candles and blessings at 6:30pm and dinner starting around 7pm.   If you are planning on attending services at Temple Beth, we are in walking distance from the Temple, so feel free to park up there and join us for a Shabbos meal before services.  If you are not Jewish, or are a non-practicing Jew, please know that we want to share this holiday with you, and will ensure a welcoming environment for all in attendance.

After dinner Hava and Irina will be giving a very short presentation of our fundraising campaign with exciting ways for all of our community members to be involved, so please extend this invitation to any and all of those who are interested in seeing our new location, hearing about us, coming to a dinner in the deli before it’s open & remodeled, and especially extend this invitation to those who wish to support bringing our Jewish Deli to the heart of downtown Olympia, creating jobs, filling vacant space downtown, filling bellies and promoting the artisan ambiance of our city.

Our mission is focused on finding purpose in making great food & providing stellar customer service.  Our vision is steeped in sustainability models and community involvement.  The development of this business is dependent on those mindsets, and we are thrilled to offer you a chance to become part of the Kitzel’s community!

Come join in the Kitzel’s community, we’d love to have you!

How you can help us open our doors

Dear Friends & Community Members,

The FUNdraising for Kitzel’s Crazy Delicious Delicatessen is up and running! There are many ways in which you can be involved in bringing our Jewish Deli to the heart of downtown Olympia, creating jobs, filling vacant space downtown, filling bellies and promoting the artisan ambiance of our city. Our mission is focused on finding purpose in making great food & providing stellar customer service. Our vision is steeped in sustainability models and community involvement. The development of this business is dependent on those mindsets, and we are thrilled to offer you a chance to become part of the Kitzel’s community! Here’s what we’re thinking –

Kitzel’s Diner’s Club - The Diner’s Club is a wonderful opportunity to be the first in line to taste our newest inventions, have some input about the menu and engage in a special way with our space! In Tier One ($250+) you will receive an invitation to dine in the deli after business hours four times a year (Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter) for our seasonal tastings. You can keep these invitations for yourself, or give them to a friend as a gift! Tier Two ($350+) includes the seasonal tastings, along with the opportunity to hold one meeting or event in our space at no cost. You will also receive 10% off of our catering menu if you choose to have food served at your event. This tier is great for local small businesses and non-profits. Tier Three ($500+) gets you everything we’ve mentioned PLUS one free sandwich a month! Who could ask for more?

Kitzel’s Development Team – Like seeing your name up on a wall? Then this is the option for you! The development team will be in charge of our “wish list”, seeking small and large contributions to help purchase the equipment that we need to cook great food for you! Members of this team will be recognized on our wall of fame, along with those offering contributions. We will have an annual appreciation event where all members & contributors to this team will be the guests of honor! You never know, a sandwich could be named after you too!http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

Come join in the Kitzel’s community, we’d love to have you!

Hava & Irina
